People from Honduras depend of money that family send from the US as 1 million of Hondurans, sometimes people think that working abroad is a bad idea but after a few days they realize that it is the only way to get enough money to cover their necessities like food, clothes, etc.

But life is as difficult for people in Honduras as those who work in the US because most of the immigrants are illegal and they cannot get a good job and for those who can get a job, it is only about housing like painting.

Bricklayer is the job that the Hondurans immigrants look for. They have to wait since 7 am to get somebody that hires them despite the weather.

In Honduras people work cultivating different kinds of fruits, fishing or renting “cabañas” (bungalows), but the salary was lower than 10 dollars per hour. In contrast, in New York City they can get that money just parking cars.

Beside the remittances, people get a job to have extra money for some emergencies like illnesses, but some others just stay at home and wait for the money that Hondurans in US send them.

Finally, now days, Hondurans have suffered the economic crisis because remittances have been coming lower and lower and many people have been coming back too, but for those who stay in US can prosper because they can get a new and better job.
